Game 5 Recap

Hells Yeah!
We finally got a win. 3 - 1. Goals for Boones: Metro United fullback guy (own goal), Tutt, and Brady.
Mucio and Stu Brown were absent. Tutt missed the first half but made it for most of the second.
It was hot today. That field seemed bigger than most that we play on. The grass was long. The halfbacks had a rough day - Clay got injured (cut above his eye), Joel got injured (lower back), and Brian White got injured (shin/ankle area). Clay and Joel returned to the game but Brian White could not because his leg no longer works.
Speedy Chad came real close to a goal off a sweet header from a corner kick in the first half. In the second half, he ran so fast on one play that his shorts fell down.
Much better defense today and top notch goal keepering. Bent gave us a shut out in the first half and Stu Dawg did a fine job in the second half filling in for a discombobulated Bent.
Awesome hustle by the forwards and halfbacks today (heck even some of the fullbacks made some good runs - go Mickey!). We put a lot of pressure on Metro's keeper and defenders.
In summary - hip hip hooray!

Game 4 Cancelled

No game today. The Dallas P&R closed the fields, so we can not play. Our division commissioner said that roughly 2/3 of the NTPSA was cancelled as of 9:45PM last night. They were expecting more fields to be closed this morning.

Just for giggles, Grapevine is open for play.

Game 3 Cancelled

Since we are playing the last place team, not ourselves who is also in last place, our game in cancelled and rescheduled for Nov. 8th.

Drink a bottle for Chad tonight. He is 40! Happy Birthday Speedy!

Guys,

A couple of notes for game 3:

1. Game is in Grapevine. Make sure you leave a few minutes early to navigate back to the fields.
2. Bring your YELLOW jersey. They are blue and we are home team. If there is a conflict, we must change jerseys.
3. Who is out this week? So far it is Brownie and maybe Tutt. Let me know ASAP.
