Playoff Game One No-Gos

1. Franchise - going to Cancun...I'm pretty sure Cancun is open other weekends.
2. Stu Brown - actually had eye surgery today from his injury playing indoor soccer last Wednesday night before we played in Balch Springs. He will miss the rest of the season. Get better quickly Stu!

A couple of words about our Stu Brown...maybe his best season yet. He clearly found Lt. Dan's magic legs and scored several uplifting goals in tight games. Heckuva season Stu.

To reiterate Julio's uniform reminder, bring both jerseys and black socks.

First Place

Guys,

We finished in first place by 3/100's of point. Yes .03. It also didn't hurt us that we only played 8 games. Even though I'm confident we would have won our game which would have given us first place outright.

So, let's step on throats now. We play at 1:00 on Sunday against Real Suburbia at Premier Park #3. We played them 2 weeks ago at RE Goode, shorthanded and won 2-1. If you recall, this was the PK game. Us hitting ours and Bent blocking theirs. We played really poor in the first half, but much better in the second.

Please let me know in advance if you will not be at the game. We need everyone there if possible.

We are wearing blue shirts, black socks.

Welcome to the playoffs. Win the ball, win the game.

Last Game Rained Out - Playoff Time

Thanks for making the effort to get out to the game tonight. I wish we could have played, but better to keep everyone safe than sliding around on a pretty muddy field I'm sure.

Here is where we stand...the rainout could have cost us first place tonight. MUFC played Dragon earlier today. If MUFC won, then they get first. If MUFC lost and we would have played and won, we would be in first. We'll see how that plays out.

Our PLAYOFF game is next Sunday at 1:00PM - Premier Park. Field will be determined this week once all the scores are received. It will be field 3 or 4.

Uniform for next week: blue shirts/black socks

Keep checking the blog for more updates.

Win the ball, win the game,

Coach Stu Dawg

From Dallas News Dot Com

I found this on the Internet:

In Grapevine on Nov. 1, an adult soccer player kicked a referee after being penalized and then ran into nearby woods, Grapevine police said Monday. That incident happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. at a soccer field at Meadowmere Park near Lake Grapevine.

This happened shortly before our 8-0 win againts Jay's team.
I like the ran into the nearby woods part.
Funny.

11/8 Game

As I mentioned before the game, please keep Mickey and his family in your prayers. His Brother finally lost his long battle with cancer. He had two sons who lost their Father. Pray for their understanding and guidance.

Interesting game today guys. First half was not our best this season, very humid and we were low on subs. Second half saw a resurgence of better team play and it looked like we finally got our legs back under us.

A few of my notes before #10 Pele Julio's awesome email summary.

1. Hussle wins games period. Stu Brown scored the first goal and his hustle drawing the foul in the penalty box secured the second.
2. We were better conditioned that the other team. You may need to read that sentence again.
3. Preston laid some wood on a guy in the penalty box. Darren Woodson would have been proud.
4. Bent bailed us out by stopping the penalty kick and then making an outstanding move in blocking the retry while taking out one of their players who was called for a foul.
5. Halfbacks showed a ton of grit today. Excellent hussle and attacking. I wasn't sure if Georgie was going to make the second half but really gutted it up. Good job guys.

We play Maccabi again on Thursday at 7:00PM. Please let me know if you are not going to be at the game.

No-Go = Brownie, Joel, Todd, Mucio

Uniform Plan

Boones Players,

We need a uniform plan for the next two weeks.

Our Sunday games are both "home" make-up games and the two teams we play are blue. We play Maccabi on our Thursday (Nov 12) game and they are white.

I suggest the following:

1. 11/8 - 3PM - RE Goode #5 - Real Suburbia (from 9/13) Yellow jersey w/white socks.

2. 11/12 - 7PM - Maccabi -- Premier Park #6 Blue jersey w/black socks.

3. 11/15 - 7PM - Hobby #8 - RoyalsFC (from 10/4) Yellow jersey w/white socks.

I am assuming everyone has a yellow jersey?

BLOG Updated

Guys,

I like the full team on the new pic. The ball is offcenter, but I will try to fix this with photoshop once I get back home.

The schedule is updated on the right side. Any future rainouts will not be rescheduled.

Easy win yesterday. Don't get complacent... 3 more games to go before the playoffs.

Let's win out.

Game 8 - Kinda

Guys,

That was probably one of the best efforts I have ever seen. Crisp passing, smart runs, solid defense and aggressive gameplay. That was really fun.

A few quick takeaways...

1. Chad takes all free kicks while in the offensive zone. He is second only to Beckham in scoring on set plays.
2. Franchise clearly hit the juice to heal his bruise which in turn caused him to kick the 80 feet passed the goal on the corner kicks, which is secretly becoming our double secret weapon.
3. Tutt can head any ball at any speed. Period.
4. Night games under 65 degrees against predominantly asian teams, we have not been scored on.
5. Helluva run by Brady to get the foul for the second goal. The Brady Almanac predicted that would happen. (Inside joke for those on the bench)

It was great to see everyone again. Weather is looking good so far for the weekend. Take care of yourselves and be ready for some soccer.

ELE,

Coach Dawg

P.S. ELE is from Semi-Pro.

Game 5 Recap

Hells Yeah!
We finally got a win. 3 - 1. Goals for Boones: Metro United fullback guy (own goal), Tutt, and Brady.
Mucio and Stu Brown were absent. Tutt missed the first half but made it for most of the second.
It was hot today. That field seemed bigger than most that we play on. The grass was long. The halfbacks had a rough day - Clay got injured (cut above his eye), Joel got injured (lower back), and Brian White got injured (shin/ankle area). Clay and Joel returned to the game but Brian White could not because his leg no longer works.
Speedy Chad came real close to a goal off a sweet header from a corner kick in the first half. In the second half, he ran so fast on one play that his shorts fell down.
Much better defense today and top notch goal keepering. Bent gave us a shut out in the first half and Stu Dawg did a fine job in the second half filling in for a discombobulated Bent.
Awesome hustle by the forwards and halfbacks today (heck even some of the fullbacks made some good runs - go Mickey!). We put a lot of pressure on Metro's keeper and defenders.
In summary - hip hip hooray!

Game 4 Cancelled

No game today. The Dallas P&R closed the fields, so we can not play. Our division commissioner said that roughly 2/3 of the NTPSA was cancelled as of 9:45PM last night. They were expecting more fields to be closed this morning.

Just for giggles, Grapevine is open for play.

Love the insanity,

Game Three

Guys,

A couple of notes for game 3:

1. Game is in Grapevine. Make sure you leave a few minutes early to navigate back to the fields.
2. Bring your YELLOW jersey. They are blue and we are home team. If there is a conflict, we must change jerseys.
3. Who is out this week? So far it is Brownie and maybe Tutt. Let me know ASAP.

Get your game faces on.

Game Two Recap

No recap just a few statements:
We are just not playing as good as we should. I don't feel like analyzing what we did bad and what we did good. We just need to win a game.

Game One Recap

That was brutal!

Welcome to division 30F and the loss column. Are you kidding me?
I still can not beleive we lost. Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it was the lack of subs. Maybe it was the defensive screw-ups. Maybe it was the missed goals. Regardless of what it was, we lost to MUFC 4-5.
The good:
A hat trick by Jamie.
A nice PK goal by Todd.
A nice run by Stu Brown to give us that PK.
Some good chances that just were off the mark (Dave, Brady, Tutt, Brian W, Joel, Jamie, Todd, and even Brett)
The bad:
No shade.
The field was terrible.
3:00 start on an incredibly hot day.
Not being able to sub when we wanted to (I thought we were free to sub whenever we wanted?).
Missing all of those good chances.
And the worst - the defense. We were all out of sorts yesterday. We gave them too many breakaways. We lost to many contested balls. We gave them way too many shots on goal. We have not given up 5 goals in a long time. We will play better back there.

I probably missed a ton of detail, but the sun fried my brain yesterday. Please add your comments.
In conclusion, we lost because of Stu Dawg, Mucio, Brownie, Chad, and half because of Stu Brown. Way to go guys! The good news is that we are scheduled to play these guys again. I can't wait!

Fall 2009 Schedule Posted - Updated Lineup

For those that made it, thanks for being at practice today. If you are curious, here are the PTP'rs (Dave, Stu B., Mucio, Bent, Brett, Stu Dawg, Franchise, Brady, Georgie).

Schedule is posted on the right side of the screen as it was next year. Here is my quick synopsis while #10 Pele Julio is out of town.

1. Game sites - we play 5 games in Grapevine, 2 at Breckinridge, 2 at The Colony and 1 at Moss. Not too bad of a schedule. The Breckinridge and Moss fields are absolutely terrible. Be ready for that.
2. Game times - 8 games at 3:00, 1 game at 5:00 and 1 game at 7:00.
3. Division Breakdown: we have 8 teams in our division. We play 3 teams twice (Maccabi, MUFC and Manchester SC.

Manchester SC was in 30F last season and went 3-3-2. They finished in 3rd place in a 8 team division. They scored 12 total goals in 8 games. One of their games they scored 4 goals against a 3-5 team. They had 5 games scoring 1 goal.

Maccabi Dallas was in 30F last season and went 3-5 for a 6th place finish. They scored 13 goals in 8 games. Half of their games they scored 1 or 0 goals. Two of their wins came against the last place team.

Real Suburbia 07 was in 30F last season and went 3-3-2. They finished in 4th place (or tie for 3rd really). They had 14 goals, 6 of which came against 1 team (Manchester SC).

Metro United was in 30F last season and went 3-4-1 and finished in 5th place. They scored 15 goals last season, 8 of which came in one game versus the last place team. They also lost 3-0 to the same last place team. Weird!

Royals FC was in 30G last season, went 5-0-3 and won their division by 1 point. Two other teams had 17 points. They were in a six team division. They scored 25 goals. Two games accounted for 14 goals (6,8) against the bottom teams in the division. Good overall offensive output.

Dragon 20 was in 30G last season and went 5-1-2. They were tied for 2nd in their division and their only loss came to Royals FC. They scored 26 goals. 15 of which came against the 2 worst teams in the division (8,7). Still a ton of goals. Their only loss was to Royals FC.

Not sure what division MUFC played in last season.

Last note...please make sure you are at the game next week. Chad, myself, Brownie and Mucio are definitely missing. Stu Brown and Bent will be struggling to get back from Galveston.

Here is the proposed lineup. Subs in ()

Forwards = Pup, Dave, (Brady)
Mid = Brian White(Clay), Stu Brown, Todd(Georgie), Franchise
Backs = Julio, Tutt, Mickey, Brett (Fullbacks will share one sub Preston)
Keep = Bent

Good luck guys. I wish I could be there, but Punta Mita with the Family is calling my name.

Barclays Fantasy Soccer

Men of Boones - This is a very exciting time of year: NTPSA fall season starts in a few weeks, the NFL pre-season has started, fantasy football drafts are approaching, the US National team plays Mexico in a World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday, and the Barclays English Premier League starts this weekend. When I got the Fox Soccer Channel a few years ago I started watching some Premier League matches. Awesome soccer but I didn't know any of the players. I played Fantasy soccer last season and it was very helpful in learning more about the teams and players. Like everything I do, I was pretty freakin awesome last season. So I challenge the rest of you to join me this season. I have created a private league where we can all compete against each other. It is free of charge and does not require much time. See message from below.

Hi, Frank Oliver has invited you to play in the Fantasy Premier League called Boones United. If you aren't already playing the game then you can register at http://fantasy.premierleague.com Once you have logged in and entered your team, click on the 'Leagues' link you can find on the right of the page. Now enter the code 131666-98853 to join the private league. Enjoy the game.

Fall 2009 Season

Guys - I noticed the NTPSA has posted the start date for the Fall season.

August 23rd

I hope you are starting to get ready...it's going to be a great season. We will definitely play in the over30 division. I will ask for a 30F or 30G if it is available.

At this time, we may only add one additional player, but they must be a full time goalie. No exceptions unless Tatu wants to play on our team. I actually have two irons in the fire for this slot. I will keep you posted.

Tournament Game Times Posted

Guys, Tournament game times listed below. I truly hope that you ready for this. Our games will be pretty tight on Saturday. I will probably never ask this again of you, but please get some rest and don't drink too much on Friday night. We are playing this tournament to win.

Craig's Ranch - McKinney, TX
Men - Group E consist of 6 teams. (4 of which advance to the playoffs on Sunday)
Game one: 10:30AM field 12
Game two: 1:30PM field 10
Game three: 4:00PM field 4

We can not scout because our entire Group plays at the same times all day. Please keep in mind that a tournament has a different scoring system. In a perfect scenario you can score 10 points for a game. They assign points as follows:
6 points for a win3 points for a tie
0 points for a loss
1 point for each goal scored, up to 3 per game1 point for a shut-out win

So, if we win 3-0, we will get 10 points. If we win 2-1, we get 8 points.

Playoff chances:
First round on Sunday: 10:30AM (30 minute halves)
Finals: 2:30PM (regulation 45 minute halves)

There is no cost for anything that day but water and food. I paid the registration fee with the leftover money. I'm also going to buy a 15' by 15' canopy for us to sit under between games. We can use this for our Fall season as well. If anyone has washers or golf ball toss game, bring it for entertainment. I'm looking forward to this big time. We are overdue for kickin' a little arse.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT NEXT WEEKEND, LET ME KNOW NOW. WE HAVE PEOPLE WAITING TO PLAY IF NECESSARY!

See you a week from tomorrow.

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Tournament - 23rd

Just in case you haven't checked your email lately, we are registered for the tournament on the 23rd and possibly the 24th. We will play in the over 30 division since Tutt and Brownie will be 30 by then.
15 guys committed to playing with 2 of the 15 missing Saturday night (Tutt and Preston).

Our entire team will be on the roster, so if you can make a game (Joel, Brownie, Mickey) just call me for game times.

For the rest of us, I will have a schedule sometime this weekend according to Andi the General Manager at NTPSA.

Last Game Rained Out

Guys,

No game this weekend. Please see the poll on the right nav. Let me know if you are interested ASAP. We must register by 5/6/2009.

There should not be any cost since we have leftover money from the league change. I'll figure it out and get back to you.

Please respond ASAP.

Last Weekend

Guys - not sure what is going to happen this weekend. It looks like it should rain for the next couple of days. If we are rained out, our season is essentially over. We will not qualify for the playoffs after not playing the two worst teams in our division. Bad timing.

Hopefully, we can get the game in this weekend. If so, I know that Brady and Julio are out.

Makeup Game Rescheduled

Soccer men - our first makeup game has been scheduled for May 3, 2009.

Premier Park #7 - 5:00PM

I would bet some coin that we do not makeup the second game since they have already released the playoff schedule starting on May 10th, Mother's Day again. They did this a few seasons ago. A night game would be pretty sweet.

I will not be at the next game on 4/28. Pup or Julio will have the cards, balls, money and skills.

Long overdue update

Guys,

Sorry for the long delay. Home life is more than crazy right now. I did take a moment to contact NTPSA today and ask about our rainout game. Their response is "Working on it".

So, there you have it. They are working on it over a month later. Anyone missing this week?

Possibly see you on Sunday.

Game 8 Recap

Boones ... sweet, sweet Boones!

Nice one today. That felt good to get back at those kids. Here is what happened:

There were some big winds out at Lake Grapevine. Mucio lost the coin flip so were against the wind to start the game. It was back and forth for much of the first half. Both sides had their chances. With the style of play on the pitch, there were some calls that resulted in free kicks. Boones had a few in first half. Chad was the king of the free kick out there. The first one smoked in there right on goal (recall this was against the wind) and the keeper made a great save and batted it down. After bouncing back and forth from team to team, Davey got a bounce about knee high and lazered it into the back of net. We're up 1-0. On the second free kick, Chad launched the kick right on goal again. Boones almost had the 2-0 lead but the ball barely hit the top cross bar and bounced down. Half time with the 1-0 lead.
As we were all smoking and relaxing at half time, those Coppell kids could not sit still and went out and took practice shots (oh to be 19 again).
The second half started and Boones had some more great chances. Georgie had a good shot. Dave had a couple. Brian White barely missed a sweet cross from Joel. Chad again had a couple of free kicks that almost went in. On one of those free kicks (or maybe it was a corner?) - Tutt was there and headed the ball on goal. It hit the top cross bar, bounced back out and Jamie headed it on goal. The ball again hit the top crossbar and bounced out and Brady went up and headed it on goal again. That header just cleared over the cross bar. Crazy ace play!
Jamie decided that 1-0 was not enough and took on their entire defense. He stole the ball from a few dudes then raced to the goal. He was tackled by two defenders and the goalie but kicked the ball at the last second and found the goal. Incredible hustle play! Boones 2 - Coppell 0. The next play was amazing. Brownie made some great saves and was the man at keeper! But obviously the dude wants to score goals too ... so he launched a punt with that wind that headed right towards their goal. Brady went chasing after it but the ball took a killer bounce (or two bounces) and their keeper was up just a little too far. He had to jump up for the ball ... but that punt was perfect and he was only able to get a finger on it. Brownie scored a freakin goal as keeper! How sweet is that!
This will hopefully help our playoff chances. Great win Boones!

Game 7 Recap

Well - somehow we tied just about the worst team in our league with their best player hurt and out for over half of the game. Brady - I saw your comments and no it was not all your fault. Mostly your fault - but not all.
We could blame lots of things for why we did not win. Missing about 20 shots was one. Pele Julio stepping on his own foot and falling down like a pickle pants and giving them break away was one. Shorty McReferee making some pretty bogus calls was one. Stu Brown being five minutes late was one. Tutt and Brett not showing up was one (I don't care how sick you or your wife are, this is rec soccer for Pete's sake! There are t-shirts at stake.) And Brady was a big one (I said was not has).
On a positive note- I thought Georgie had a heck of game. He made some of the best passes I have seen all season. Brownie (or is it Browning) played great again at keep.
Here is the deal - we pretty much gotta start kickin ace or we are done for. I hate you guys.

Love,
#10

Game Six Review

Not sure where to start, so I'll go with the good and bad.

GOOD
1. Brownie played awesome. He kept this from turning into a 8 - 0 game.
2. Fields were short.
3. We didn't have to put up the nets.
4. Zero soccer balls were lost.
5. Nobody got hurt.
6. Mickey brought beer to the game.
7. We will not play another team that good.

BAD
1. WTF!
2. There best two guys were named David Copperfield and David Blaine.
3. I'm still embarrassed by the second goal.
4. I'm sore as a mother right now.
5. Felt like a three legged dog trying to bury a turd on a frozen lake - borrowed that from Larry the Cable guy.
6. We missed our 34th wide open goal.
7. Would have been nice to see a card on the guy stopping Brownie's godzilla punts with his arm after #10 Pele Julio got a red for self defense.
8. Asian blue.

Please feel free to add to the list. I'm sure there are few things still out there.

Game Six

The following guys will not be playing: Stu Brown, Franchise, Brett

1. I can't stress this enough...please allow extra time to get to the game. It is very tucked in and a little difficult to get to.
2. Bring your yellow jerseys. We are the home team and must change if our blue colors are conflicting. Brownie...I have your yellow jersey.
3. Brownie - we need a progress report on your massive hamstring.

See you Sunday.

Game Four Recap

Played a good game this week. A few quick observations:
  1. My feet feel like a jackhammer was applied directly to my heels.

  2. Todd's header and Pup's sweet hustle play taking the ball on the end line and cross was keepin' it real. It made us look like a professional team without the pay.

  3. Coach #10 Pele Julio helped with the subbing while serving his red card suspension.

  4. #19 looked like Ron Mexico.

  5. #33 and #34 must have had 35 headers between the 2.

  6. Clay played a good game at keeper.

  7. Dave had a sweet, bending goal to tie the game at 1 once he decided to quit shooting from our 18.

  8. It was good to see all the families at the game. We need to get Daddy Franchise back out here.

  9. In spurts, we passed the ball pretty well. Definitely had moments of rustiness, but we recovered well today.

We may need the rainout this week after St. Patrick's Day festivities. Please be careful this weekend.

Daylight Savings Time

Guys,

Please make sure to change your clocks on Saturday night before you go out and run your wind sprints. Otherwise, you will be an hour late to the game.

So far, Brownie and #10 Pele Julio are out for Sunday.

It also appears that the chances for rain have diminished. See you around 2:30.

Game Four

A couple quick notes about game four:

1. You must bring your yellow jerseys. The other team is blue and we must change if there is a color conflict. No yellow jerseys, no play. Brownie and Tutt, I have your jerseys.

2. We are expecting rain. I will update this blog if we are not playing.

Things that suck

  1. vacuums

  2. cauliflower - pure s

  3. black holes - I mean seriously, in the scale of suck-a-tude, it's got to be near the top

  4. kids not keeping score at their games - wussification of America

  5. Chan Ho Park - I knew when I saw him working out at the gym instead of the ballpark a mile away, they (The Rangers) didn't like his billyhoe a$$ either

  6. #10 Pelo Julio's red card

  7. my entire game tonight - swing and a miss

Our Tiger Woods A-game was missing tonight. Good to get the bad game out of the way. We will regroup and make our run for playoffs.

As always, we will blame Franchise.

Big Lineup Changes

Guys - Since we are missing two guys this week, we are going to move a few people around to maximize our strengths. I'll post after jury duty sometime this weekend. If you have any suggestions, it could make some interesting reading.

Game 2 Recap

My first blog and Game 2 Recap:

AGIANT 1 - BOONES 1

Notes:
A. I remember Five Star fields being in pretty good condition. NOT!
B. We scored one soccer goal and probably two or three football field goals (they didn't count those though).
C. Speaking of our one soccer goal, we have decided to give the credit of that goal to Tutt. Tutt had made an aggressive play and won controller of the ball. As he was advancing the ball, the AGIANT swooped in and hacked the ball away from him. Not giving up on the play and probably a little embarrassed about getting his rock stolen, Tutt ran down the AGIANT and took back what belonged to him - the soccer ball. He then made a perfect pass to Joel who was streaking down the right side. Tutt used his Jedi mind powers to force Joel into an accurate and forceful shot that found the back of the net. Way to go Tutt!
D. The AGIANT scored a goal against us soon after. I really don't know what happened, but I am blaming Stu Dawg and Brownie. Yes I was involved in the play too, but since I don't really know how the ball made it into to goal it can't be my fault. I am also blaming Chad, Tutt, Preston, Brett, and Mickey ... where were you guys on that play?? I can tell you where you weren't ... smushed on the ground by the AGIANT like I was!
E. Brady missed a goal. Heck of play by Brian White on a fine move and an even sweeter cross. Way to ruin it Brady! Good game though.
F. Funniest part of the game - when the AGIANT big guy with the fancy footwork had the ball and Stu Brown was defending him. There was a two yard cushion between the two and the AGIANT gave Stu Brown the "come on" gesture. Stu Brown looked at the AGIANT with a you gotta be kidding me face. The AGIANT made his fancy dancy move and then tried a pass - it landed right in Stu Brown chest. HA!
G. Thanks to Chad for the cold brew and Boones. Blue and yellow/orange colored Boones is o.k., but I would like to try something in a purple or green next time.

And remember Boones: When there's thunder, there should be rain, but it don't always follow the rule. And is the wise man always right? No he can play the fool.

Game Two

Excellent game last week. I've never seen us play that well. Hopefully, that will not be our peak for the season.

Game Two is at Five Star in the Colony, field #8 - 5:00. Schedule is on the right. Please add a comment if you will not be at the game. You can now anonymously comment, so those who are scared to register should be able to comment.

Tutt/Brownie - your yellow jerseys are in and your numbers are being applied.

#10 Pele Julio's Game One Recap

Game One Recap.

Boones 8 - Atlas 0

Well done men. Notes from the game.
1. It was really cold.
2. I don't know who recruited those two new guys, but they are terrible at soccer. We should kick them off the team.
3. Way to go Brownie and Tutt, you guys are awesome. Gameballs to you both. Welcome to Boones!
4. Those fields are worse than I remember. Thank goodness that is our only game out there this season.
5. Chad proclaimed that the defense would not let in any goals this season, so far he is a smart man.
Q. Passing was superb last night ... that almost looked like real soccer.
22. Goals recap: Big Dave had 4. One header, one lazer, and two accurately placed chips. Keep that up! Brady had one - don't remember the details but it was sweet! Joel had one, a cross that was deflected by a defender that turned into a goal. We'll take it. And finally, Preston after all these years got a header off a corner kick. I love it when our fullbacks score!
%. Uniforms looked good. You guys don't look as fat in blue as you did in yellow.
Next. Did you guys see my rocket punt I had that almost decapitated Stu Dawg? Good times.

Soccer Shopping

Dave and I went at lunch today and bought 2 corner flags, goalie gloves, ordered 2 XL yellow jerseys for Tutt and Brownie, and a soccer ball. We then went in the parking lot and Dave fired off shots until his leg fell off.

Can't wait for Sunday!

6th Season Begins on Sunday

Welcome to the Boones United F.C. blog spot. We will use this site to blog game posts, updates for team events, and any other communication you would like to post.

I can tell you I'm really excited about our team this year. Boones United has a strong chance to be very competitive after a injury prone 5th season. We have added two new players, Brian Tutt and Ryan Brown, who will bolster our defense with youth and lots of soccer experience.

For those who couldn't attend practice, I will have your socks/jerseys at the game.

Guys - first game is Sunday at 7:00PM - Hobby. Reply back if you will not make the game.
